While blue skies and warm days filling the canyon, Darkside Parks has the goods to keep your jib alive. Darkside Parks is sponsored by Pharmacy, McGhies and Tyrant Snowboards. Planet built rails and boxes keep your ride in succession with 12 features on the snow. With park changes once a week, there’s always something new.

Park staff is keeping the groom fresh all day long on great features. The line-up for this week includes: Flat Down Box, 20’ Jump, Double Barrel Skate Rail, Flat Box to Road Gap, Tree Bonk, 40’ Jump, Double Feature: Flat to Down Benches And 15’ Jump, McGhies Rainbow Rail, Flat Bar and Butter Box looking down on the lodge. The Easy Way has 2 Beginner Flat Bars.

Jan. 31st – Burton On-Snow Demo – Get onto the 2009–2010 Burton gear and see what the hype is really all about. Demo hours: 9am to 3pm.
Feb. 22nd – RX Games – Pharmacy Boardshop’s 2nd annual contest. Watch the action from the deck as regional contestants compete in the rail jam, the high ollie and the Game of Snow.

Yes the rumor is true and confirmed by the people at Brian Head…  They have received a Terrible Herbst Truck body and are going to put it in their “Junk Yard” Terrain Park. They are expecting to be completed by the first week of January. That means you get to get out there and shred away on the new obstacle.. Im sure it will produce some amazing shots.

It’s official people Ski Las Vegas is officially 100% open. Go check it out and hit the snow.

Yes they are reporting a 30″ base.. with at least 14″ of new snow. Weather looks even more promising this weekend at the mountain. Use HWY 156 if you you are headed up there because 157 is restricted to residents only. Traction devices or 4wd is required although the NDOT cleared the road. Expect deep light powder on the mountain and be aware of natural obstacles under the snow. All runs but three are opened and four of them are groomed.

As you may know it snowed in vegas now twice in the past week. Crazy I know but we will get pictures up soon!!

Tis the season everyone it’s time to ride!!…Chair 2, Chair 3, the strip and rabbit peak are now open!!

Darkside Reports: Rails are READY!! Double barrel set on down, Flat box at the top, McGhies Rainbow is sweet! Bunny park is still on the snow with a Skatestyle down, Tyrant barrel and a flat box.

Big Bear Resort is planning on opening the beginner run tomorrow from all the snow making going on now and through the night. The weather is forecasted to help the effort with some extra snow fall. Their intent is to open Inspiration run, the Beach Bar and BBQ, rentals, lessons and the Ice Box Apparel and Accessories. Of course it’s dependent on the weather and how much snow making the get accomplished. They are confident it will all work out as planned. So get ready to go shred the nar at Bear Mountain. As for Snow Summit, well stay tuned for their official opening day.

Well its almost here! Lee Canyon will be opening the beginners slope ( the “Bunny Hill”) on Friday November 28th for weekends until further notice. They have been blowing snow in prepartion for the actual opening. Come out for the festivities this weekend. Check back for when all the slopes open to everyone or check out skilasvegas.com!
